  • Light Blankets, Sleeping bags, Candles, Flashlights, Batteries, Tarps, Bug Repellent, Flat sheets.

Mission Harvest America (MHA) has began collection of food, medical supplies, camping supplies, portable generators and more, the first shipment will be ready very soon.

Water is an urgent need but shipping bottled water takes up space and weight allowance which could be better filled with food. Instead of shipping bottles of water, MHA is manufacturing water purification systems that will be issued to families so they can make pure water from any local fresh water source.

Each unit makes four gallons in just over one hour’s time. MSA is looking for sponsors at $45.00 per unit, which will include a spare filter set and delivery to Haiti.

Please take a few minutes to glance through your closet, garage or storage spaces. Please take a moment on your next trip to your favorite store to pick up a package of underwear or socks or t-shirts. Please take a moment to help.

Amelia Island Self Storage (2641 Bailey Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034, 904 261-5700) has so kindly donated a 10 X 20 storage area for us to gather supplies and get them on their way to Haiti.

I urge you to please drop off your donations at Amelia Island Self Storage on the following dates and times:

  • Saturday January 23rd 10:00am to 4:00pm
  • Sunday January 24th 10:00am to 12:00 noon
  • Saturday January 30th 10:00am to 4:00pm
  • Sunday January 31st 10:00am to 12:00 noon

Please take a moment to help… Please send this BLOG ENTRY anyone you know that may want to help.

Bless you and thank you for your time. Susan Hurley
